Prepare for employment in manufacturing as an entry-level, certified welder. Learn TIG and MIG welding and related processes and techniques reinforced by daily hands-on instruction and practice. Modern equipment and techniques are used during training. Metal, Materials and common shop tools are provided in the welding lab. The potential for a career in welding is ever expanding due to advancements in technology. This course provides the student with the skills, training and technical understanding necessary for entry-level positions in this field. Students are required to wear 10” leather safety toe boots and long sleeve welding gloves.
